A window into the future.

Synopsis

Travellers of The Third Ice Age.

Robert MacKay lives on a smallholding in the Peak District National Park
with his wife Jennifer and two young sons, Owen and Christopher.

The year is 2030. The world’s population and their economies have just recovered from the lethal virus Covid-19. But now an even worse pandemic is decimating the human race. Also, a massive change in the world’s climate puts the survivors in further peril.

Their nearest UK Government collection area for survivors is at Portsmouth
on the South Coast.

Running short of food, they decide to make the perilous journey down the length of a desolate, lawless country.

During this expedition, they encounter several small groups in a similar situation, they also have to avoid ruthless gangs who are intent on stealing their few remaining supplies and, in the process, are prepared to kill
if necessary.

Available from Amazon on Kindle and as a paperback. And in 2019 recommended as a most read adventure novel.

Dear Mr. Hughes

Thank you for your letter and its mind-boggling revelation. Rather than publish it on the letters page, I have passed it to Rod Liddle for use in his column.

I hope you will be happy with the more high-profile slot.

Best wishes

Rob Nash, acting letters editor.

Feb;  2022.

Many thanks to members of the Companions club Albia who bought my latest novel during my recent book signing, and for financially supporting the Special Educational School for the Blind in Denia. Costa Blanca. Spain.   The teachers were most appreciative and will now be able to purchase equipment for their new herbal garden.

Here the students will be able to feel, smell and taste the herbs they have planted.
